Post by

Whether you’re looking to increase event revenue, keep fans engaged with unique digital experiences, or simply get to know your superfans through data, there’s no shortage of reasons to take your meet & greets virtual in 2022.

But fans want unique experiences with their favorite artists. And sometimes that requires a little creativity. So to offer some inspiration for your next VIP experience, we’ve compiled some of our favorite virtual meet & greets to date—all made possible by Mandolin’s virtual meet & greet products, VIP: One and VIP: Party.

John Legend Hosts A Legendary Wine Tasting And Acoustic Set Straight From His Studio

Rich, soulful and complex. Are we talking about John Legend’s voice or his wines? Both! With this virtual meet & greet John Legend invited fans into the studio for an intimate wine night as they learned more about his LVE wines and got even more personal time with his rich, smooth voice.

Not only did the event offer fans a unique opportunity to get to know John personally, they learned about his passion for wine and even got a discount to purchase—driving wine sales & brand exposure in the process.

Straight No Chaser Sings Fans’ Favorite Songs in One-on-One Virtual Meet & Greets

To say that Straight No Chaser has a loyal fan following would be an understatement. Ever since their 1998 recording of “12 Days of Christmas” went viral on YouTube (now amassing over 24.5 million views), fans simply cannot get enough of the group’s witty banter and clever vocal arrangements.

To satisfy fan appetites this holiday season, SNC took their in-person tour hybrid—uncapping their meet & greets with virtual VIP access. Fans  requested personal performances of their favorite songs, which the group performed in one-on-one virtual hangouts with Mandolin’s VIP: One.

Punch Brothers Shares Stories Over Cocktails and Q&A

After Nickel Creek disbanded in 2007, mandolin (the instrument) virtuoso Chris Thile assembled the all-star quintet now known as Punch Brothers. Between Chris Thile solo and the Punch Brothers group, these progressive bluegrass instrumentalists have hosted countless virtual experiences on Mandolin in the past year and a half—and learned a thing or two about what their fans want in the process. To mix things up (literally), Punch Brothers gave fans an opportunity to join them for drinks by hosting a series of virtual cocktail hours—swapping stories and answering fan questions about their music and lives.

Warren Zanes Interviews Lucinda Williams

We can’t think of anyone better to interview Lucinda Williams after an encore of her Tom Petty tribute than Warren Zanes, the renowned author of Petty: The Biography. This special VIP event coupled the encore presentation with the interview, which was peppered with questions from the audience.

These clever uses of Mandolin’s VIP: One and VIP: Party are proof that any special moment can be turned into a ticketed event for the whole world to experience together—regardless of geography. All it takes is a little creativity.
